People never cease to amaze me. Not just ‘some’ people, but all people. I’m not trying to say that I am really any different than any of them as I am sure I probably do or have done all of the things I can’t help but notice. One thing that really beats my brain is the ways in which people change. Whether it be for better or worse, it just simply boggles my mind. I always hear comments along the lines of “some people never change... yadda yadda yadda...” Alls I have to say is... bullshit. Everybody changes, especially when we would rather they didn’t. Humans are creatures of habit. Don’t think you are? Think again, we all have routines in our lives in some way. You can try to disagree with me if you really want to but I’ll just let you know now that I will not agree with you. But hey everybody changes, right? Maybe you will be able to persuade me into changing my mind...
I think my issues with this idea of change is mostly my own selfishness, but we all have our own vices, right? Allow me to be a bit more specific. Once upon a time there was this person in my life who knew exactly who they were, I truly admired their ability to stand for what they believed in and lived by it. This person and I went our separate ways and completely lost touch. Somewhat recently, this person and I reconnected and I just could not ignore everything that changed. This person now does so many of the things they always said they would never do. I am not trying to say that there is anything wrong with this it all. This person appears to be happy living their life they way they do now. I know people “grow up” but in this instance to me it feels like this person had it together better back then compared to aging years later. It almost makes me sad in a way, and I can’t really seem to figure out why. I suppose it’s because learning this made me feel differently about this person and I really just can’t help it.
I get it. Change is inevitable. But it doesn’t mean I have to like it.

Allow Me to Ease my Way Back Into Your Life (please?!)
Yep, I fell off the wagon once again...
I am going to jump right into things without rambling on about what ridiculous excuses I may have for my absence (like my pet fish died...or I lost my lucky troll...)
I am here now & that's what matters.
So here's the deal. I don't have much of a life. At least it feels this way. I need a hobby. A real, huge, time consuming hobby. Blogging is a hobby of mine- yes. But I want to do something else, too. Like make something?
I use to make jewelry. Kind of bored myself with it. Gave ALL my beading crap away. Huge mistake, give it all back Mom!
Kidding, Mom can keep my stuff. I want to try something new.
Maybe soap? Hmm... I don't know.
Any suggestions my friends?
(Oh & just for the record... my pet fish is alive and well. As for my lucky troll...well yeah...it never *really* existed...)

2010 Has It Out For Me...
...I am convinced!
So far, 2010 has not been the best year of my life thus far. While I am aware it could be worse, I am also aware it could be much better. Please pardon me while I take a few moments to recap these lovely events I have endured in the past 4 months.
Here's what I've come up with so far (in chronological order):
1. Bye-Bye Brakes
Just days after I spent the time to re-vamp my budget in efforts to pay off my vehicle, my brakes decided they had enough. At least, I hadn't made it to the bridge just yet... I could of killed my self or someone else...eeek! Mind you, I was just getting off work, heading home. Over $800 later, I got my wheels back!
2. Flat Tire
Of course I just couldn't dodge that nail in the road. My tire just had to gobble it up. This time I was driving around at work, on the clock. Sure enough they were able to convince me I needed not only one but two brandy-spanking-shiny new tires...$200 later...
3. Freezer Shit The Bed
...and the rest of the refrigerator is now beginning to seek revenge. Read about it here: R.I.P My Dear Freezer
4. Apartment Flooded
Please refer to this post as I am too lazy to ramble on about it for the millionth time.
5. Changes In My Workplace
While change is inevitable, it does not mean I have to like it! Several of my co-workers are leaving us! Many to better-improve their own personal situations...but still...they shall be missed (and my work load be effected by this). But good for them!
6. I Don't Fancy Damage To My Rear
To my car that is. Or any other 'rear' for that matter. Yep. At work ( and on the clock, again) I was rear-ended by an older gentleman on April 15th. Thank goodness for insurance is all I can say. Over $4000 in damages, a rental car, and inconvenience...I am lucky enough to have escaped injury free! I will probably be driving this rental car around for another week at least.
And it's only April!
I use to believe bad things came in threes. Boy was I wrong!
I totally get that things could be much worse. I believe it is healthy and necessary to vent, rant, and rave at times. This is where I get to do just that. Thank you for listening.

For The Love of Comments
Approximately 2.5 hours ago I gleefully learned that I had comments residing on a few of my posts. News to me! Thank you for letting me in on the big secret Blogger! Complaining aside, I do thank you for the love! Had I been aware of my new post 'tenants' I would have stalked your blogs with even more comments...maybe.
Flood: Update
It has been a minute since I've last posted. Truly sorry! I was supposed to be a better blogger...rememeber?! Clearly I forgot.
Well I am back...I think.
It is so nice to have our apartment back in order since the flooding! Brian will be finishing up the last bits of clean up tomorrow before going into work at night. There are a lot of dishes to wash and he wants to get our big 50-60 (whatever it is) gallon fish tank up and running. We did end up bringing our fish to a local pet store on 'vacation' as we were starting to lose some fish due to the lack of power and added stress levels. While this is unfortunate, we keep reminding ourselves that it could have been worse. Hopefully you will never have to hear me rattle on about this 100 year flood (or whatever it is they are calling it) anymore, ever again.
However, my fridge is another story...
